Well, like so many I have limited funds and ideas to the moon. Here is what I have and here is what I want to do. Any input on good methods and item recommendation would be great.

Recording predominately single track at a time though usualy with 2 or more inputs from same source (acoustic guitar pres into one channel. mic on neck into another)
Have access to the 8 channels on the ADAT for send from board and return to board without having to change patches. That way I can record something and then just monitor out.
The ultimate goal is to just get to a point where I can record, monitor, and mix without having to change connections all the time.

Rip my ADAT to my PC for manipulation etc, etc, etc.
Gonna get a MOTU 2408 MKII at that time

The overall goal for now is to just get up and running with something I can record to easily and eventually build the system up. Don't worry about mic recommendations as the Oktava is one of the good ones and works for me right now. The forum has tons of info on mics for when I want to ugrade. The real important factor for me is just interconnect on all my stuff. Do I need a patchbay? Can I just get a new mixer and have 8 into the ADAT and 8 back to the board?

Any recommendations or pointers would be great!
