We do quite a bit of recording for various shows around town and now our snake is getting pretty beat up.
We would like to know if there are any recommendations of a "snake coiling system" or similar.
For example, a wind up box that we can use to wind up our snake and then it's protected for the road, etc...
I'm almost about ready to visit Home Depot and just buy a garden hose reel system.
Our snake is a 28channel x 100foot.

when I owned a PA, it was as simple as that...hose reel(a good one) and a good quality military footlocker that I divided into two sections...one for the snake reel and one for the mic cable reel....worked like a charm and was cheap! You cant beat em for setup....set the reel out and off you go.
