Just wanted to let everybody know that the new Digital I/O for Digi has just been released.
It is expected to ship 4-15-02. Here is some preliminary info on it.
192 Digital I/O: 24-Bit/192 kHz Multi-Channel Digital Audio Interface
Embodying the ideal all-digital interface to Pro Tools|HD is the 192 Digital I/O™ — a
high-definition, 24-bit/192 kHz-capable, multi-channel audio interface specifically
designed to facilitate digital input from a variety of sources into the Pro Tools|HD
environment.
192 Digital I/O features a wide range of digital I/O options, including up to 16 channels
of AES/EBU, TDIF and ADAT I/O, along with S/PDIF I/O — making this interface
perfect for streaming digital signals into Pro Tools|HD using your favorite external
converters.
192 Digital I/O offers the following features:
• Supports up to 16 simultaneous channels of AES/EBU I/O at 96 kHz
• Supports up to 8 simultaneous channels of AES/EBU I/O at 192 kHz
• Extremely flexible digital I/O: 16 channels of AES/EBU, TDIF, ADAT I/O; 2
additional channels of AES/EBU or S/PDIF digital I/O; 8 additional channels of
ADAT optical or 2 channels of optical S/PDIF I/O
• Switchable, real-time sample rate conversion on digital inputs allows easy
streaming of digital signals at any sample rate
• Word (1x) and Slave Clock (256x) input/output
• Expansion Port allows for direct connection of another 192 Digital I/O, 192 I/O or
96 I/O
• Legacy Peripheral Port allows for connection of 888|24, 882|20, 1622, or 24-Bit
ADAT Bridge I/Os*
* At 48 kHz or lower sample rate

Digi has also released info on an HD Sonic Solutions No Noise plug in. Very Cool! I'll try to put more up our website this week end so if that sounds appealing check it out.

According to the Q & A I copied from Darren site it sounds like S/MUX will come later. If true then the hardware has to be capable and the software has to be programmed to do it. I figured if it was going to happen the hardware must already have the ability. I really just want to know if S/MUX is going to be available.
