Ok so compared to the last mix I made, I feel I did better. Better being the keyword here. I still feel like I'm missing a lot. I tried to get a good balance but everything feels like it gets in the way of each other? Tried taking out some low end on the guitars to make room for the kick and bass, that seemed to work. Guitars I'm still having trouble with, it seems like taking out anything just makes it lose some body. Guitars were only tracked once but it was the same part on two guitars.

Well listening to it again on different speakers it seems to be that I'm having some phase issues. Can anyone confirm this?

I listened to the mix, it sounds like a garage band (literaly a band in a garage). Either because of the ambiant reverb of the room or the type of reverbs chosen.
If you that's what you wanted your mix to sound like, you succeeded.
The screamings are too loud. ;)

Why would you say that ??

It was done in my uni studio. No reverb added. We were going for a raw, live sound.

I think I just need better speakers to be honest. Is there any type of guide to buying monitors?

Oh and thanks for the heads up about the screams. Just reduce those individual screams?
