I've scoured the Tascam forums and found a lot of info on this boards DAW control and all of that sounds great. Is anyone using this board that can tell me how good the pres and converters are? Looks like this would be ideal for getting 32 channels into Cubase if it sounds good. Thanks.

Thanks Remy for the reply. That's just what I needed to know. It is just what I'm looking for in terms of getting alot (32 channels) of I/O into my Cubase. I'll have to find out more about it's latency in terms of DAW usage with VSTi's but otherwise it sounds like a winner. Thanks again.

Well Eric, I've been using a DM 24 for some mixing, can't imagine your version is much different. Nice unit. I don't mind mixing on it. But they've really never been known for desirable quality microphone preamps. They just don't do anything for me. With all the cool stuff they make, I don't think they ever quite learned how to produce a quality Mike preamp that was warm, fat and desirable. Go figure? You'd think they finally get it right by now but I don't think so. There's no reason not to use the microphone preamps but no real good reason to use them. Good recorders but everything else that they make is strange. Get 8 API or Neve preamps to go with that console and you'd have quite a system. That's like having a mini automated version of an API or Neve. Start saving those tips!
Got to have it!
