Not sure if this is the place, but does anyone know what the status of Trace Elliott?
I use their bass amps, and love the sound (really ^%*^#^*@^ heavy, but compact). I can't find any info on if/when they will resume manufactering.

I know about Gibson, both the acquisition as well as their ability to take profitable companies and ruin them (I guess they know how to make guitars and not much else, although you are not the first one I've heard from raving about an amp from them).
I was able to pick up a used rig at a great price. I'm just hopin' they manage to get back on their feet.

buldog, Trace was acquired about five years back by Gibson, which has a reputation for running subsidiaries into the ground. I use a '94 silverface 1225V combo rig, with the tube pre. Love it. I bought it used and tried to get a manual through Gibson on several occasions, never heard anything from them, and we're in the same town (Nashville).....I even know people who work there! I sure wouldn't buy a new one.
