Hola fellow DP aficionados,
Anyone using the MOTU 1296 interfaces yet?
I'm wondering what kind of real-world track counts you guys are getting at 24-bit/96kHz... and what happens to your plugin instantiations. Enquiring minds wanna know.

24-bit/96kHz recording is still comming of age at our level in the game. With a the latest mulit processor power mac and the necessary plug-in upgrades, DP 3.0 should alow you to get the most out of 1296. Of course you would have to be able to do an entire session to really know the difference between 48 and 96. A little faith goes a long way. HD recording is becoming very cool.
NONE! brought my 9600 to a standstill. and im getting 30+ of 24/
NONE! brought my 9600 to a standstill. and im getting 30+ of 24/48. how weird. anyways, for what i could get it to record i didnt hear enough of a difference [any] between 96 and 48 to warrant the use of it.
