I'm using Reason 2.5. It accepts two midi controllers. Right Now my Midi keyboard takes up one,and my Radikal SAC 2.2 takes up the other one.
Of course the midi keyboard operates as it is, and the Radikal SAC remote controls the mixer and Transport bar in Reason...I now want to add a Evolution UC 16 to control the knobs on the Virtual Synths.
The UC 16 is a USB device with a Midi Out on it. I was thinking of going OUT of the UC 16 IN to my Midi Keyboard then into my interface. Or I could go OUT of the UC 16 and OUT of my Keyboard controller IN to a Merge unit then into the Patchbay.
What do you think?

Thanks Nate,
I use the Fatar SL-1100 Controller. The manual states the Messages received at the INPUT are Merged to the Output. However, it doesn't say anything about turning the merge function On. Is it possible it does it automatically. Sorry I don't know much about these things.

Howdy
If your controller keyboard can merge its MIDI input to its MIDI output then connect the Evolution's MIDI out to the controller's MIDI and turn the merge (or thru) function on.
If you have space on your patchbay, just rig it into that.
If not, then yeah, merge to an external box and send the box's out to the patchbay.
