Hi, I'm new to this forum and I'm sort of a newbie so I apoligize if what I'm asking for doesn't make sense. I remember when I was back in high school I purchased a bass synthesizer pedal that did all sorts of crazy stuff with my bass.
If I remember correctly there were wave settings on the unit you could change to manipulate the analog input in different ways. You could create crazy sounds by just tapping the head of the instrument if you wanted to.
The closest thing I've seen to this on a computer are the synthesizers in Reason, but they all use samples. I'm hoping that there is something that can plug into Cakewalk to allow me to do this to an actual instrument being recorded realtime. Ideally, it would be nice to be able to still get a clean track while recording but have the plugin be able to manipulate the sound on the spot.
I miss that chaotic synth pedal...all of my effects are so structured and average. Is any of this possible? Are there any realtime instrument software synthesizers that can manipulate the analog wave in different crazy ways?
Have you tried Guitar Rig 4. Its made by Native Instruments. Yo
Have you tried Guitar Rig 4. Its made by Native Instruments. You can get some pretty good synth effects with it and there is a free demo on their site.
