i just got a creative audigy 2 zs platinum with the deck and I'm trying to record in acid pro 5. I'm having problems with layering tracks. it seems everytime I record a second track the first layer is recorded into the second. (i can see the equalizer monitor move in acid while i record the second track) ive tried adjusting the "what you hear" volume but that doesnt seem to work. if i turn it down it won't even record. also the headphone jack won't work, when i try plugging one in the sound still comes out of my speakers.

So all i want to do is record the second track while my headphones play the first track and not get the first track recorded into the second, anyone know how to fix this?

Oh there's a way. I've done it before and it sucked. Ok for the quick demo tracks I was doing to get ideas down for the band I guess though. You want to turn off "What you hear" but leave the analog mix or line in faders up or whatever. In fact, turn everything up besides what you hear, just to be sure. Do this under the Audio tab and the Voice tab. I can't remember how it works.
You'll get it.
