audio interfaces?

Hi all, i am kinda new to all this and need some advice..
I run a G5 imac with logic 7 and have acquired an old allen & heath 16 channel desk.. question is which interface to go for.. Obviously dont need preamps , just 16 channel audio..

there would be a redundancy of preamps though.

SM pro audio has several devices that could connect to any interface with ADAT I/O.

A MOTU 828 MKII will give you 10 analog inputs (with 2 mic pres)

A MOTU 828 MKII will give you 10 analog inputs (with 2 mic pres) and a connection for 8 more inputs via ADAT. So pick up an AI-3 for those additional 8 and you're good to go.

It's what I use and works well for me.

Or you could just use a motu 24i/o not the confused with the motu 24i expansion interface. 24 ins, 24 outs. sounds like this might work for your situation, because there is no preamps other than the feed from your mixer.
