Hey, based on advise from this forum I decided to make my own cables. But now that I'm going to buy the materials I'm not totally Shure what to buy. I need to make a multicable for my studio. The instalation is going to be semi permanent, so that I'm only going to move it around a little once in a while.

Google tells me that that I should use foiled cables for permanent installations and braided for non permanent. I'm leaning towards buying braided cables just to be Shure that they dont brake, but I've also read that braided cables are more difficult to solder than foilded cables, and since I'm a beginner that makes me kinda nervous :? What should I buy?

Here are the cables:

I've had nothing but foil cables at the radio station for permanent installs. Probably more than a mile of it. Absolutely ZERO problems in 11 years.

That said, all my moveable cables (mic & instrument ones) are braided.

Do a search here and you'll find some info on how to construct your own cables. Buy good quality stuff and you should be fine.
