I'm looking for the best way to connect a JK Audio Hybrid phone patch with a Mackie 1202 VLZ Pro so when I speak into the mic the other party can hear me and I can hear him through my headphones. My gear list includes Delta 44, Symetrix 528E, 1202 and JK patch. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You'll probably want to use one of the auxiliary sends on the Mackie mixer to take your microphone to feed to the phone hybrid. You will take the output of the phone hybrid and patch that into the line input of another channel on your Mackie mixer. It's that simple. Just don't send the hybrid phone box to the same send output as your microphone. That's a feedback loop and you don't want that. What you are actually creating is referred to in the broadcast business as a " mix minus". So if you wanted to play them a song through the Mackie mixer, you would connect your playback device to yet another Mackie line input. That input would be assigned, like your microphones and the hybrid phone patch, to your mixers stereo output bus. But playback device would also be sending out the same auxiliary send that you are using to send to the phone patch.
The phone patch is designed to separate the second party conversation from the inputs you want your second party to hear, without redirecting those microphone and playback feeds out of the hybrid phone patch. That way all that you get from the output of the hybrid phone patch is just your second party's conversation, without your other stuff coming back to you. It's like magic. Just like radio. Perfect for pod casting. I do it all the time.
