Digital converters prizing factor

I'd like to know what is the determining factor on the higher cost that some converters have, related to others. As far as I know, the electronics involved are pretty the same, but prizes are not!

The differences:

The quality of the analog components, the accuracy and stability of the internal clock and lastly an area that's often overlooked but of major importance, the processing and implimentation of the anti-alias filters.
