I was curious if any of you can please set me straight on the Earthworks preamps '.
Right off the bat I noticed how simular the faceplate is, to the Great River stuff.
I know they sound WAY different, but the Earthworks has what is called Zero Distortion Technology (ZDT). I really like the distortion of the Great River when you crank the input gain knob to 45 or more.
So my question is...
What is the sound like when you drive the Earthworks gain knobs to 45 or more, since it has ZDT?
Does it distort from the high gain levels?
