It's got some serious capabilities that will take me a while to learn,

but I was able to do some basic recording right away with Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro 3 recording software,

Congradulations! I am not sure if you have a question, a problem, or are just happy and bragging about your new purchase. I own and use the E-MU 1616M laptop version for my portable work and also often use it just for it's A2D conversion and to make custom headphone mixes. Combined with the Emulator X2 sampler software, it makes one very powerful, flexible and great sounding setup.
