Lindows, a Linux-based operating system that's gaining popularity. Walmart is selling a system on the internet, the Microtel SYSMARK401 for $199. However, they're calling the OS "Lycoris" instead of Lindows due to recent legal probs with the name. Hmmm ... but they haven't thought about getting in trouble with Lycos for "Lycoris"? Jeez...
Anyway ... if you buy the Lindows OS off of the Lindows site, it's $99. If you buy this puter from Walmart, for $199, check-out what you get ...

Also, with Lindows, you are not legally limited to one machine like you are with Windows. You can put it on any and all machines in your house. I don't know much about Lindows, and it's still buggy, but it would be cool to check it out. For $199 it would be a great Christmas gift for a kid, and it would give you the legal right to run Lindows on any puter in your house. Then if you don't like Lindows, you still have the little PC that you can install Windows on. I'm thinking about getting one. What do you guys think?
i heard that lindows is based off of lycoris from a beta tester
