I have a pair of LiveWire Advantage brand cables connecting my Dynaudio BM5A's to my MOTU 828, and it sounds just fine to me. But I was wondering, does anyone know how this brand stacks up against the "good" stuff like Mogami? Has anyone ever made comparisons with this cable against those other brands? Given the gear I mentioned above, I am trying to determine if it would be worth it to replace these cables with something like Mogami, provided it would make enough of a difference to affect the quality of my mixes. Thanks.
Chris
I doubt whether you would notice any difference over the relativ
I doubt whether you would notice any difference over the relatively short cable lengths needed between interface and monitors and at the +4dBu levels used. If you were talking about sending microphone signals over 50+ metres, then cable type plays a significant role, but I would stick with what you have for feeding the monitors.
