Hope Im not starting any beef w/ this topic!

Its probably been asked but I didn't find anything on it. So Im askin...

Has any1 compared these 2 and Im wanna from a hip hop point of view, inwhich this is the type of music I produce and mix.

I kno ur gonna say..."Go and listen 2 them urself!" I would if u lend me the $ to check them both in my studio.

But what I'm askin is the real difference between the 2 from a hip hop point of view on their clarity, balance(bass, mids, his), price realism, depth, etc. as opposed from some other speakers that may throw in the spectrum... just these 2!

Thanx for any input

Peace!

You have to make the final decision. I have heard both and both have their uses. Maybe arrange with the dealer to let you have both on trial and go to your studio and A/B them. They are different sounding speakers and have much different design considerations.

Best of luck. Unfortunately auditioning a speaker is the only real way to choose one over the other.

The major problem with speakers, microphones and phono cartridges is that for someone the top end maybe too sizzling or too dull the midrange maybe too forward or lack definition and the bass maybe too tubby or not enough. It is all based on what your ears hear and how you translate that information into what you want. The other major problem with speakers is that they can sound very different depending on the room and where they are placed in a room. That is why it is important for you to listen to them in your own space with your own ears,

Hope this helps.
