I was just wondering if the Fireface has any REAL advantages over the multiface. Looking on the RME site I couldn't really see anything other than the inclusion mic preamps. I want to get higher quality pres (DAV BG1), so I don't want to pay for anything I won't use. For me, the size of the Fireface is a disadvantage

Hopefully the price of the Multiface will drop as the Fireface takes over!

BTW, how do the converters on the Multiface compre with the standalone RME converters? I'm planning on buying an Apogee Mini-Me, and want to use the RME when more channels are necessary.
