My ANUS is the audio version P4B266, and I'm about to go midi. Has anyone sucessfully used the joy stick/midi port along with a seperate sound card? Does disabling the audio portion disable the midi port? Thanks. JT

I have read many posts on audio forums that says the P4 has some problems with USB midi and that a parallel port connection is better. People were getting clicks with the USB hooked up, and they went away when they changed to PP midi. Midiman makes a Portman with different numbers of inputs/outputs. If I can't get the joy/midi to work, I'll go that route.
Also, With the audio enabled, is it possible to make the onboard audio work just for windoze and CD's, and make Omni Studio do all the DAW work?
Yes, disabling the audio on board will disable the joystick/MIDI

I myself have never used that as a MIDI option so I can't say for sure how well it works...it does work I know that much..how well it works again < I have no idea
