Okay I am gonna lay it out as simple as possible.

I just got a Carvin S16 USB mixer. Up until now I have been using an 8 channel mixer that I run the instruments through and I use a Pandora PXR4 as the recording device. I record all the instruments seperatly. After the tracks are recorded I transfer them to my laptop and edit them with Acid Pro 6.

So with that said, my problem and question is:

Problem: I have never used a USB mixer before so I am not sure how to get it to register with my Acid Pro. This is my first time recording direct to a computer so I need any help I can get. The computer does reckognize the the mixer when I plug it into it. I am at that point right now, but not sure where to go from there. I know that I am gonna need to buy a FastTrack to utilize all of the individual tracks on my Software but I am supposed to be able to still record through the software but one track at a time.

Please if anyone knows how to resolve my problem I would really appreciate it. Also if anyone out there is using a Carvin S16 and is using it with Acid Pro, or any other software I would appreciate any tips you have learned along the way!
