With the vmp-2000e's I got a few weeks ago. The pads allow an amazing range of sounds to come out of this box. I can't believe how much my sound quality has improved, even with the crappy mics I use (next thing to upgrage). Kurt was right, invest in pre's that don't suck. These really can do colored and uncolored sounds. Unbelieveible. I wish I had more of em! But alas I am poor! Thaks Seb and good luck on your new lab (Cook up some more good sh*t). May your tilde's soar like the mighty eagle.

Henry,
I am so happy that you are liking the vmp! Thanks for the nod in my direction. I can't tell you how good it makes me feel when people are content with a purchase they made based (even partly) on my recomendations. The vmp makes even inexpensive mics sound better. Save your cash and before you know it you will be able to get a 4000e!

The word is getting around and I really think that Sebatron is going to claim a rightfull position amongst the greats like Neve and API. We have had members comment saying that in many cases they choose the vmp over the APIs in their racks for certian tracks.. as I predicted. If someone doesn't have any good pres, the vmp is a great place to start because they are so versitile. If someone already has Neves, Telefunkins, APIs etc, then the vmp is a great addition to the pallette of color and texture. Either way, it's just a great all around design. Those Aussies know their stuff! Kurt
