I have a motif es8 with optional mlan16e expansion board installed (transfers audio and midi over firewire), logic pro software, Mac pro, PreSonus firebox, and JBL lsr4328 monitors.

1. i need to be able to have my es8 sounds triggered (via the mlan connection) and record vocals (via the firebox) at the same time. how do i do this at the same time when my computers core audio input must be set to mlan or firebox?

my analog output to the monitors will be through the firebox.

2. Also, how do i get rid of the latency when recording the vocals through the firebox. this is not a core audio settings issue. i think its a setup issue or a settings issue with the firebox software mixer. anyone with familiarity with the firebox have any thoughts? any help would be greatly appreciated!
