hey all,
I undertook a project a building an elaborate pedalboard which was a lot of fun, and I'm just about complete. I installed locking female TRS jacks on the board itself, for FX sends returns, guitar ins and outs...so all wiring could be tucked underneath the platform i built. pretty cool!
Im going to use George L's for my pedal connections, but I cant seem to figure out the best way to wire up the female TRS jacks. they are the neutrik ones that lock, with the 3 connectors on the back: tip, ring, and ground.
Does anyone know what wire I need to wire these jacks to the outs of the pedals that they will be connected to (for sends/returns, etc...)
i can clarify if i sound confusing...

On a TRS socket the ring and sleeve should be connected for unba
On a TRS socket the ring and sleeve should be connected for unbalanced operation like with almost all pedal type boxes (plugging a normal tip-sleeve jack into it will connect these two anyway). Connecting the ring and the sleeve to ground will give you two contacts doing the same job, which is usually better than one in case one should fail or the contacts get dirty. Either way, if you have those types of sockets, may as well use the extra contacts. Hope I understood your question right.
