They mention to do the following
1) Disable all shadow features(what the heck is that?)
2) Disable onboard sound cards. Will these acutually cause trouble? I like to use the onboard for listening to mixes. Sorta like the car stereo type thing. But if this is really a potential for problem, I should ditch it.

Shadowing is a BIOS setting for the video...it can be enabled and disabled but default is inabled so don't worry about that...
Disabling on board audio only helps in clearing IRQ's...it's actually better to have that enabled so this way Windows will automatically map to that instead of trying to grab the RME or whatever audio card you may have installed...
