Hi,

I'm new to Pro Tools, (an recording in general), and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a problem I'm having, which is as follows: I want to record a bass guitar using the line out from a bass head. The head itself has both an XLR and a 1/4" line out. However, when I connect either one to the Digi 002, the signal sounds severely degraded; plugging the guitar straight into the Digi 002 without running it through the head first seems degrade the signal less. I have a similar (although not as severe) problem with close-Micing my bass cab. What am I doing wong?
