RecorderMan is going to mod this forum now instead of the Producers forum. He is definitely suited for this area so at his request, he can call this home now! He will be replacing Dave McNair. Dave has been gone from RO for over (I think) 3 months, (can't get a hold of him :( ) and because I haven't heard from him I'm assuming he's stepping down. Thanks Dave ! and hope all is well. If you should ever choose to come back to RO give us a call.
see RecorderMan's new bio hehe> in the http://recording.org/moderators page. The man has been holding out on us. :D
Cheers and welcome to this forum RM.

A welcome and "snaps" (snap, snap) for RecorderMan. I used his "two drumstick, three mic" technique this past weekend. Although I prefer use as few mics as possible, the "2ds3m" method made me look like a genius (no small feat).
Thanks for that and keep 'em coming!

Although I'm relatively new to this forum, I would also like to welcome you as a moderator for this forum. We needed someone as active as you are about reading the posts and responding to them as well. I took some of your advice on the "bass di preamp suggestions" post. I just ordered the TLA-50 compressor for tracking bass.
I don't mean to sound like an idiot either, but which is your bio. I also have had trouble finding it.
Thanks, Abraham

Born and raised in LA, Ca. My father worked in the TV/Film industry. Started Singing in bands at the age of 14. Alway's worked the P.A.'s etc.. Zip ahead a couple of decades (after going to one of those "schools" and assisting for everyone at most of the studio's in LA) and I'm engineering and producing for a living (still in LA....it's home to me!). I'm a husband and a father to four wonderful children (my daughter Alana is my avatar for now).
Some of the people I’ve either recorded or mixed are: Ringo Starr, Barbra Striesand, Primus, Destiny’s Child, Kingdom Come, Staind, Timothy B. Schmit, Smokey Robinson, Joe Walsh, Snoop Dog, X, to name a few.
