I've got a little cash and want to improve my recording setup. I'm thinking either a new mic or a new soundcard, or maybe a used mic and a cheaper soundcard.
Right now my mic is a cheapo Shure Prologue 12H-LC. I would be getting a Shure SM57.
I believe my soundcard is a C-Media CMI9880L 7.1-channel audio CODEC, compliant with Intel high def audio standard 192KHz, 24-bit audio. I really know nothing about soundcards or computers. Any recommendations for a sondcard around $100?
Or if my speeding ticket gets thrown out I'll be able to afford both :D .
Can't go wrong with a 57. If nothing else it makes a good hamme
