As some of you may know, I work for Ambrosia Software, Inc., publishers of (among other things) the MacOS X audio tapping/routing product http://www.ambrosia… WireTap Anywhere.[/]="http://www.ambrosia… WireTap Anywhere.[/] I have solicited input and beta testers in this forum previously, and I hope that this inquiry is appropriate again.

We're working on a major update of WireTap Anywhere, and we're in need of additional beta testers.

WireTap Anywhere provides you with a virtual sound patchboard for your Macintosh. It allows you to create a virtual hardware device that is any combination of hardware and software sources. You can then record from this device in any audio recording application.

The new version we're working on has some super cool new features, and we're really looking for people who would be jazzed about testing and using this product, and giving us their feedback. The major new features are:

  • Complete audio rewiring control from both hardware and software sources
  • Discrete level and gain control on both inputs and outputs
  • Mapping one input source to many output sources
  • A configurable monitoring output channel
  • Recording of sub-process audio

We're looking for beta testers who might be interested in participating in the beta test for this product. Ideally, you'd be someone who often records audio, whether from other applications, or from various audio input sources, streaming audio, etc., or someone who creates content (such as podcasters).

You'd need to be willing to subscribe to the beta email list, download new builds of the product, and give us your input to help shape the product as well as make it bullet-proof.

Any questions, feel free to ask (either here or via email). If you're interested, please send an email:

...and include your name, as well as what you might use WireTap Anywhere 2.0 for. People with funky audio setups are especially welcome.
