The introduction of audio in social media

Our future platform will include text to speech format. Meaning, we can talk and record or text will reply comments back in speech. What are your thoughts on this? Would you use this? Would a text to speech format be helpful in pro audio forums?

It's interesting. Tone is difficult to convey in texts sometimes. I think often when conveying technical information it can sound arrogant or dismissive when your being precise for technical reasons. Perhaps hearing a casual tone of voice would help with that.

Text does offer some advantages. To me having full multimedia capabilities is ideal. a simple video could save alot of time typing.
