Hi I just made an EP where all the songs segue into each other. Basically what I did was take all the songs and overlapped them or add segues together in a session in Adobe Auditions. Then I mixed them all down to a single 11 minute track, then I split them up into 4 songs so when they are played back to back there there is no silence AT ALL between the tracks. Well when I saved the 4 tracks and opened them up in WMP I noticed a small clipping between each song. I opened up the tracks separately in Audition and there is a very small bit of silence, like 10 milliseconds or so, added to the end of each song as a result of saving. If I delete the silence then save it it just does it again. Anyone know how to get around this?

I don't know of any workaround to that 0.01 sec pad.

You really don't have a problem. At least, I don't see it that way.

You have a way for someone to listen to the songs all at once, like a concept album, with the 11-minute mix. You have a way for someone to listen to the songs one at a time, by having each separate track. If they want to play them all in a row, why not use the 11-minute segue mix?

Haha I am a huge fan of cassette tapes. I always make it a point to release every album or ep i make on tape. I usually just give the tapes away. Some people don't even have tape players which is just sad. I was actually looking at vinyl pressing costs earlier tonight and the cheapest I found for 100 12" pressings was around the 800-900 range. Considering the profit I would make it seems like a really great idea, but I don't know if I could sell off 100 copies and I certainly dont want to be stuck with them. I think for my next project I'm going to press vinyl. At some point in my music career I have to do it. Anyone here have any connections? I'm also considering starting a record label called Noise Horror Records.

the problem is with the mp3 format. I believe it rounds up to the next block size and will insert silence at the end of the track to fill it. iTunes will allow for a "gapless" import of a CD, not sure if this is just a crossfade or if they calculate the import differently. I don't know if it will also translate outside of itunes either, never tried it.
