I have an Oktava MKL5000 and I've changed the valve several times. I have a further ten on their way from Ukraine that I want to try. Now with this particular mic, the 'skeletal' structure must be tightly screwed to tracks on the main circuit board, but after opening the mic so often, these tracks are worn away. Now I've decided to rebuild the main circuit board. I have a couple of mods in mind including point to point wiring where possible. However I don't want to overdo it, but some modification is necessary if I want the mic to survive the necessary dismantling each time I change the valve.

I wonder if anyone here has any advice that might be of assistance. I'd particularly like to know what sort of wire is best to use. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

PS the capsule assembly is in need of upgrading if it is to last any longer than a couple of years, but think I'd better leave that to someone more qualified!
