Good Day Folk's,

I am looking to get a mic for sample recording for use while I am out and about using my laptop.

The price range is between $250 and $350.

It would be great if I could find something that is versitile for other stuff in the studio or live recording.

I have been thinking about picking up a Shure
SM-81 for the studio. Would this be ok for sampling or is there some special criteria I need to look for?
