Ok, i'm currently writing a series of PC modules to setup voice recognition stuff for my house. Already written section for taking answer phone messages and reading them out.

What i need is some kind of high gain/array microhone that will allow me to provide voice orders from a distance. Like from the other end of the room. Will need some good noise filtering

Anyone got any ideas? Hopefully not too expensive ideas?

I dont mind stringing together several mics around the room to get good coverage?
