Hiya~

I come to you with my ignorance scarcely covered in fig leaves. Over lunch-hour today, I stumbled across some Chandler/Abbey Road Plugins while surfing the net. Have any of you tried these? Are they just a bunch of hype, trumpeted via association with The Beatles et.al.? I've long-ago reconciled myself to be satisfied--and relentlessly creative--with the equipment and few plugins I use, a Yamaha AW1600 and MT Studio Pro, but still. .the lure of that wonderful EMI/Abbey Road sound beckons. I know that nothing can replace Experience which informs you what to tweak and when and further, I know that my recording "studio" will never replicate Studio 2. In other words, I'm not looking for a band-aid or a quick-fix for my recordings to turn them into The White Album and I KNOW that Geoff Emerick and George Martin will forever be safe from my talents eclipsing theirs. The question is: Are these plugins worth having to sleep on the couch for a month of Sundays should the wife find out how much they cost? The just sound like they'd be so much fun to play with! Can't wait to check out the demo versions this weekend!

Cheers~
