What's the proper procedure for installing these? Can you plug and go? More importantly, I want to change the card in one computer for another model of ATTO card, would that just plug and play.

Thanks for any help you can provide

Procedure

1. Power down your computer.
2. Disconnect everything except the electric cord.
3. Open the computer, and touch ONLY the power supply. This will discharge any static electricity in your body to ground.
4. Unplug the electric cord.
5. Put an anti-static wriststrap on your left wrist, and clip the end of it to a metal part of the chassis.
6. Swap out the card.

You'll have to check to be certain that the model ATTO card you are going to put in will be compatible with the hardware and OS. As far as the drives are concerned, yes this is plug and play. It should be noted that your drives will only operate as fast as they are spec'd for. An ATTO UL3D will not make an Ultra2 SCSI disk any faster. In fact, it'll slow anything else on the SCSI bus down to Ultra2 speeds.

Good luck!
