Hello to everyone!

This thread is focused to the users who have Hardware

We know we have lot of facilities and nice workflow using HW in many DAWs in the market, like Cubase, Logic, Protools, Ableton and so on.

So my questions for you; (to the external synths users) is;

*Did you try FL Studio before with your Hardwre?

*What you think about the functionality?

*What is missing and what you expect?

*If you have not tried to use FL with external synthesizers, please tell us; which is the reason? (This is very important)

I hope objetive answers with the proper argument or not, just our own opinions but trying to keep always the respect

Thanks in advance and hope to be in the correct forum!

Greetings!

Well, I used a controller, a Nord Lead and it worked great. It was very fast, no latency that I would complain about. I am an old midi geek from the 80's so I hope that helps.Its all about latency to me. Nothing beats analog synths though for fat!
I really like FL for remixing but its lame for tracking, which is more of my interests right now. FL is however, one of the coolest DAW programs I'm played with.

The thing that I dont like of FL using HW is that you should use always a controller (Dashboard) or the MIDIout if you want start from 0, then you should open the book of your synth or synths for search the CC, of the Knob that you want automate, so then you should assign the CC in a knob of the MIDIout for make automations. Can you imagine that when you have maybe 5 synths or more? In fact we lose lot of time and the inspiration that we had in that moment...

In other DAWs like Cubase, you just play/rec/move your knobs from the external synth and its done, you can rec automations and edit events very fast in a practical list, no lose time. Indeed fast and efficient workflow with our external synths...
