Greetings;

I am currently in search for a team of people to lend a helping hand setting up a new festival for unsigned talent and writers across Europe. Basically, I’m going to put my ideas down below and then please feel free to add comments and questions and also your own ideas.

The overview

- Organise an event to aid those who are unsigned to develop as artists and get the opportunity to showcase their talent to a much wider audience. In addition, to bring fans to unsigned artists; as we all know, fans either can be one of the factors which decide the future of artists.

- To invite artists to audition to become part of the festival - a selected number will be chosen and will get to perform.

- Invite songwriters to write for a select few artist and get their material performed.

- To get involved as many people as possible and to open this festival up for as many people as possible. Especially as we have things such as LTM who are deal with people from all over the world.

- Invite an array of A & R

- TO BE HELD IN LONDON, UK

Will require:

- A team of dedicated, punctual people to donate time to organise this.

- To find sponsors for equipment and advertisement

- Seek funding sponsors

- Artist seekers

- Promotion Artists

looking forward to hearing comments etc.

Regards, Matt.

I like the idea .. I would like to see it happen in the USA too.

However .... not wanting to poke holes in it, I have to wonder if "industry people", let alone the general public will respond to an event that basically showcases unknowns. It's tough enough to get these people out to hear bands that have a buzz going, let alone ones they have never heard of ..

I think you are going to need to offer them something more..

Thanks for your replies, i dont mind anyone poking holes in, constructive critism is good.

I know industry people would come as i know them, i know the producer stevie lange, and she would invite others, with a few months advertising we could fill the venue, and the unsigned artists perform, the fans have a good time, and if any industry people like the artists they can go and meet them, hot food and drinks would be served all night, as you can imagin, getting the acts wont be a problem.
