hey i finally recorded wiht my Vintech tonigth and i really needed a pad even wit a dynamic mic. is there any good pads that are out there?

To answer your question, Shure offers a very handy inline accessory- the A15As- it is an attenuator that will switch in up to 15dB of signal attenuation. It does this with no capacitance in the circuit, and it simply plugs in between the mic and the console, using a male XLR at one end of a small metal tube, and a female at the other end. I keep several in my tool box. You can plug a couple together to obtain higher values,too. I don't believe that it will work with phantom power...I've never needed it on a mic that did, but you might check with the Shure tech support to see. I usually use it with an SM57 on snare or an MD421 on kick with no problems...Good Luck!(PS: it is shown on their website in the "Problem Solvers" section of the microphone section)
