preamps

hi i was thinking about getting some preamps.

at first i thought, maybe i should buy neve's, and then i changed my mind and thought that i should buy some vintage api 312's. but after careful consideration, i considered buying the Neve clones by xyz manufacturer. if i don't get those i was thinking about getting the api clones by another manufacturer.

my budget is ~$200

what do you guys think, is this a good decision.

I don't think you would be upset with either one but I don't think your going to find one for $200. Your gonna be lookin at about a grand for a single channel if your buying new maybe a little less.
