Hehe, my Topic sounds like the email one would send to Chris and Dave more so than a live sound question...

Sadly, I had a Profile console as part of my post originally, but after I RTFM I have answered my own question as far as it is concerned... So the topic here is no longer valid, but it's eye catching and I like the little joke I made at the beginning so I'm not going to edit it... Yet...

Geeez...

Anyway, here's the second part that I cannot come to terms with because I have neither the manual nor the unit in front of me.

This may be a remedial question, but humor me for a second, lately my brain has been feeling like mush...

I have a question about the Lake LP4D12.

Will the Lake act as a converter of a digital signal; i.e. convert the signal from it's AES inputs to it's Lightpipe outputs - even if all settings on the Lake were flat or bypassed?

Will it do it the other direction, say convert the optical to AES (or analog for that matter, again both ways)?

Or, does the Lake only go 1 to 1 (AES to AES, optical to optical, analog to analog)?

Have I had a beer too many tonight?
