recording from RCA out

hey guys,
I'm trying to record vocals(speech) and also some guitars and vocals(singing).
THis is all live, and the mixer gives me a RCA out(one red and one yellow) to record.

I had a RCA to 3.5mm cable that goes to my laptop to record. However it sounds like its clipping alot. Any idea if there is another unit i should bring it into before i send it to my laptop?

One channel into each input. Either convert the RCA to TRS or XL

Which ever is easier for you. Both can be unbalanced.

Probably not the best thing for you. You just need a cheap line level converter with usb.

Or turn down the output volume.
