Hello all and I hope I'm in the right place for this question. I just recently purchased a JBL pa sysytem that consist of 2 subs and 2 tops but I do not know the best way to wire this system so I figured Id come ask the pros. Ive never wired up 2 passive subs before with my dj rig and I don't want to screw anything up.

I have 2 JBL MRX 515s and 2 JBL MRX 518s they will be used in a mobile dj rig for wedding events. I do not know how configure this system properly here are the amps I have along with a crossover if needed::

qsc gx5/crown xls 802/crown ce2020/crown microtech 1200/crest audio CD2000
yorkville elite ep400 crossover

this will be plugged into a Numark dm1200 rack mount mixer.

Thanks for any help in configuring this everytime I read the manual from JBL I get a headache

You have a mis-match of components. The Yorkville EP400 will not give a smooth response with the JBLs as it is designed as a crossover for their own bumpy Elite speaker units.

You can patch it all up and try it to see how bad it sounds. Go from the DN1200 into the EP400, which needs to be connected in "Full Range with Subwoofer - Playback" mode, as described in the [[url=http://[/URL]="http://www.yorkvill…"]handbook[/]="http://www.yorkvill…"]handbook[/]. From the EP400, you take two sets of outputs into your power amps and then from the power amp outputs to the tops and subs.

Do you think I should purchase the DBX Driverack instead of using the ep 400

I think the Driverack is over-the-top for what you want to do. You need a simple active crossover like the old C-Audio boxes, but maybe you can get one of the ART units for a reasonable cost in your part of the world.

I would patch it up and try it with what you have already, then at least you know what you have to improve on.
