If you're referring to the ptichy voice effect that sounds similar to Cher's 'If You Believe In Love' at the chorus, then Davedog is correct. Usually Antares Auto Tune plugin set to some extreme settings will create the effect.

Also there are some choursy/Eq fx going on as well. These can be created with various sundry items located any fx/plugin rack.

IMHO, this is one effect that should be banned from the planet for a couple years or so, until it's so dated that people will laugh when they hear it again.

It seems like 90% of the pop material these days this effect on their vocal tracks at some point or another. It's such a shame, because in a year or two, it's going to make the track sound soooooooo dated it'll be unlistenable. "Lollipop" sounds like a good track, too bad they had to gimmick-it-up like that. (Ditto for runnin' the N=word in there, too...pointlessly stupid and offensive...)

But people who follow fads never seem to realize that....oh well....

The one instance of that effect sounding 'good', in my opinion, is on the song Spirit Walker, off of Ween's La Cucaracha. There's a point in the song where Gene deliberately sings in between two notes so that the autotune flips out and doesn't know which one to adjust to. It's like he learned how to play the autotune like an instrument. It's kind of a trippy song.

Then again...it's Ween. If you know Ween, you know that they SHOULD have a song with autotune abuse in it.

The one in my tracks sounds real smooth. I even sell a video tutorial on how to get the effect smooth.

I too am tired of this effect. And Ive used it before. SO I am engineering a new version. Already have it created. Just waiting to complete some serious Acoustics Renovating in the studio.

The one Lil Wayne has is just too warbly for my taste.
Autotune doesn't like Vibrato or Glissando, creates a warbly sound. But I know how to trick autotune.
