Best Mic/Preamp Combo for Vocals
Forums
I'm currently using a RODE NTK with an Avalon 737sp. Can someone give me some ideas on mic/preamp combos that would be better than this. I record mostly Contemporary Country and Pop, some R&B. Male tenor range. I also do VOs.
I've heard a lot of raving about the new BLUE Kiwi and the Sound Projects T3 mics. Anyone used them and with what preamp?

Help with Pop Vocals...!!
Forums
I was jsut wondering what kinda signal processing the pros are using nowadays. I'm mixing a project for class with a male vocalist. It's kinda Duncan Shiek/ Savage garden genre. The vocalist is decent but not really emotional. I just need some ideas to put some final touches on the mix. Any suggestions?

Best preamp for vocals/budget?
Forums
Kind of a funny question...
I need to do vocal recordings (country & pop lead/backup) with an AKG-414C/BULS. I've got every piece of the chain save a decent preamp. I would prefer not to spend more than $400 on one (1/2 channel, preferrably 2).

Vocal plosives
Forums
When I record the Vocals my problem is that when the singer sings the p, k. or a loud "s" it sounds sometimes too hard and the "s" like "st".
I know that this is a compr. problem but what? I use the goldenmike preamp + groovetubes CL1s. Sometimes the TL Audio C1. I've heard that using 2 Compressors is a good idea. Can you give me some tips-tricks? Thank you
