First Recorded Riff

Hey guys, I'm new to the world of recording and was wondering what you guys thought of this. I have no EQ done on this track, I haphazardly threw a compressor on the master in Live and didn't tweak anything at all. I'm running a small 1w Randall Diavlo through a 1x12 V30 cab. Miced with a Shure SM58 with the windscreen removed. All of this is running into an old Mbox2.

Apollo Artist Sessions Vol. XI: Joel Hamilton w/ Lyrics Born

In this Apollo Artist Session, watch producer/engineer Joel Hamilton (Tom Waits, Pretty Lights) record Lyrics Born through Apollo interfaces and Unison™-enabled UAD Powered Plugins as they perform the track, “Don’t Change", at Studio G in Brooklyn.

Sounds great imho.

When you're around - mix critique

Hi Guys,

I'm done with mixing this as far as I can I think. Floyd who is singing/guitar and bass on this sounds just like this. As I wanted to make sure it translates on other systems fast, it's in MP3, but it does as intended from my Mackies all the way down to ear buds.

Would appreciate thoughts on it. Again, not mastered, just a mix down with some 'master channel stuff'.
