I'm quite interested about this monster Behringer ADA8200. In fact, I'm quite confusing... It just like an Audio Interface, But yet it mentions AD/DA Converter! So, What is this? And All-In-One gear?
Can someone helps?
I have a finalizer 96k (which from what I read has really good converters) and a L2 maximizer hardware version. It will be at the end of my Alan smart c2 compressor,Avalon 2055,and TUBE-TECH LCA 2b mastering chain.Are these conveters up to the level of the gear or do I need s stand alone like an Apogeesomething or other. Would I even be able to tell the difference?

1. A pre to the Alesis ADAT HD24(haven't purchased it yet and other sug welcome). To me that wld be very clean. Later, I cld copy to a computer.
or
I'm looking to get off my vs-880ex and onto a computer based DAW. I have preamps and outboard gear just need a good ada converter. I was wondering what people would recommend under a grand. I would prefer to use firewire for portability's sake.

I have 2 888/24's and an AD-8000 in our studio and recently we've been making plans for a B room. My question.
I've seen a lot of talk about the Lucid AD's and would like to know in what "category" they are...
Also any users of Lucid Genx6's? Any comparisions of these with the Aardvarks?
