Hi.
I am having a big trouble with my CW 8571 (Matsh*ta).When I try to burn a 48 or a 40x CD it say "ERROR WITH TARGET DEVICE" but when I use one of the old CD`s like those with only 24x speed they work fine.
Apple G4.733 Mhz.iTune.Roxio Toast and Apple Disk Burner...
I would like some help.

I'm considering going to the G4 processer and the MOTU DP v 3.0... I'm a guitar player/song writer and I don't have a lot of space to deal with for rack mounts etc. I'm looking for a plug and play environment for MIDI sequencing, live instruments and vocals... so I'm word clock generator shopping...Aardsync, Apogee, Lucid, yadda yadda...

the Aardsync is probably the most recommended, but what about Lucid? some of their smaller boxes seem about the same for a few hundred $$$ less than the Aardsync. anybody have bad run-in's with Lucid clocks?

Interesting rumor going around that Apple is going to purchase Avid. Its a rumor, but it would not surprise me at all, seems to make good sence for Apple, and Avid shares have been declining.

The thing to wonder about is - how safe are Pro Tools users (and third party PT developers) if Digi falls in the hands of a "non-audio" parent?

Major studio upgrade in the next month or so...

New G4, etc.

Should we swing for the fence and get the Apple Cinema Display?

"Artistic" studio partner has the money, wants the monitor...

But "Engineer Bill" is feeling practical and doubtful. Do we really need it that bad?
