AT4033 or AKG 414?
I'm debating whether or not i should buy a pair of 414's for $1200CDN. Since I already have one 4033 I would just have to buy another one and that would be cheaper. Is it worth it to buy the AKG's even though they cost a lot more?

Phantom Power +15v or +48v for AT4040
My Rane preamps provide +15v phantom power. The specs for my new AT4040 say +48v.
What are the ramifications of using +15v phantom power with the AT4040 mic?
I found this in my Rane Tech Notes (#148)

AT3525, ANY OPINIONS?
I have read many good comments here on AT mics, but never this model. Anyone have experience with this model? I can get one cheap, I just want to make sure I'm not buying the scurge of the 30 Series mics.
Also, any info on the ATM11R? OK? Junk?

SM81 vs. . AT4040 for Voice
What are the pros/cons of the SM81 vs AT4040 specifically for voice?
The targer vocalists are young female and male rockers, older male blues and rock.

Has anyone tried the new AE2500 mic from the artist elite series, its the new Condenser/Dynamic 2 in 1 Mic (kinda like pert plus). I talked to the company rep when he was in my area, he said its the revolutionary new mic thats sweeping the nation.

Audio-Technica Mics
Could anyone provide a bit of an overview of the different large diaphram AT mics? I am interested in the $200 - $500 mics that they have to offer.
3035, 4040, 4033...
Given that I cannot make much sense of the specs, I thought someone might be able to share there thoughts on what the differences/applications are for them.
Thanks in advance.
Jim

Audio-Technica AT3060 Tube, your opinions.
I came across this new Tube mic from Audio-Technica, the AT3060, which doesn't require a separate power supply and runs on 48V phantom power; has anybody tried it or reviewed it (Kurt?)?

sonic differences between AT4040 and AT4050 at cardioid
hi friends1
I am a big fan of AT mic line. In fact I have three on here, workin fine since 1996, used for orchestras, horn bands, in almost every day job recording section.
I want to buy another mic. what are the differences between at4050 at cardioid and the new :p model at4040 that only does cardioid?
will they function as a couple?
